American Pickers at Symco

Symco Picked!

A few weeks ago, Rick sent and email to the History Channel telling them about Symco.  Well, they seemed to like some of the pictures!  Tuesday, June 22nd, they showed up!  It was almost like their TV show, Mike and Frank drove up in their Sprinter van, got out, introduced themselves and we sat around shooting the breeze for a while.  Not long after, the camera crew showed up...and a BIG U-haul truck filled with cool stuff they found on their journey.  They spent the majority of the day “picking” Symco. Owner Larry Werth and his son Jared gave them the nickel tour and let them snoop around for treasures.  They found a few trinkets they liked and also took home a really neat neon liquor store sign.

Mike and Frank are real stand up guys. Very polite, appreciative and GREAT with kids and their fans. The weather was HOT and they spent more time than expected with the fans and taking photos.  Mike would even go out of his way to introduce himself to new people as they walked by or came into the building.  Frank was under the weather but still muscled through the day without any complaints!  I think they would still be here hanging out with the Thresher-men in the Unionville Saloon if the History Channel crew would have let them.

What great people!  They are VERY welcome back to Symco and we hope to see them back for the Thersheree or maybe even the Shakedown.

Watch for the episode airing this fall!
